The SAS Metadata Server is a multi-user server that serves metadata from one or more SAS Metadata Repositories to all of the SAS Intelligence Platform client applications in your environment. The SAS Metadata Server enables centralized control so that all users access consistent and accurate data.
SAS Stored Process Servers interact with SAS by submitting stored processes, which are SAS programs that are stored and can be submitted by SAS client applications. You can use stored processes to perform complex tasks such as analyzing data and creating reports is called stored process server.
A metadata repository is a physical location in which a collection of related metadata objects is stored. Metadata repositories are managed by a repository manager. you can not start metadata server without metadata repository.
object spawner runs on each machine where you want to run a workspace server or stored process server, listens for requests, and launches the servers as necessary. it’s initialize to workspace & store process server.
